reading week 1
For reading I had to make connections between to texts this is the connections i made:
For reading this week I read:
Text 1: harry’s war
Text 2: bright fine gold
Aim to complete as many of these 3 boxes as you can, the minimum we expect is 1 completed :)
What is written below is the minimum please feel free to write more.
My thinking:
Make connections between and across at least two texts and general knowledge to expand meaning and pose questions
The new learnings I now have are:
There were big gold deposits in nz
2 Questions I have are:
Why did harry not go to war
Why did people come to get gold when people had finished there
Use prior knowledge to connect to at least two texts
The prior knowledge I had for Text 1 was:
War is tough
The prior knowledge I had for Text 2 was:
Gold mining can be dangerous
Make connections between at least two texts and own life experiences
2 things that I could relate to from my own life experience in Text 1 was:
Not everything is easy
Not everything goes your way
2 things that I could relate to from my own life experience in Text 2 was:
Traveling long to get to a place to do one thing
Just because everyone is over it, it doesn't mean it's not there
you should do the same and what books did you choose?
writing w1 and 4 (or 5 idk i forgot)
Hi i'm back this is my reading from week 1 and w4 (i'm mostly sure but not 100%) i wrote a story and how to make a quality blog post try the blog post on my blog and i'll see how good you do (you guys are prob better then me) here are my create tasks
The year was 1952 ex marine deep diver Scott was on a sub to investigate an alien creature roaming on the bottom of the bermuda triangle when suddenly CRASH the sub had hit something. What did they hit? *GASP* it was the alien creature “HELP THE MONSTER…” “CRRRRRRRK” sounded over the radios, we never saw those men again. Present day scott's grandson and his friend are building a treehouse but one day when they were talking in there treehouse WOSH a storm came CRACK the was so powerful it picked up the treehouse right into the bermuda triangle right where the monster is the kids were scared you could tell from the looks on there faces “hey Jeffry are you moving the treehouse” said Bob “no” said Jeffry scaredly “I thought that was you” “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” the kids screamed when they found out there were to monsters “what are we gonna do” said Bob in terror “wait a minute those monster are playing ping pong with our treehouse as ther ball” said Jeffry “that one's gonna hit hard enough for us to fly home” said Bob happily “WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE” said the to children they land right in there tree “you boys should come inside now” said Bob’s mom
that is my story and this is my blog post thing
reading w5
for reading on this week i had to pick a book read it and describe it I read a book about stego saurus and how they could have been semi-aquatic.
Questions⇩
Question 1- How big is the spinosaurus?
Question 2-Why is the T-rex the most exciting dinosaur?
Summary⇩
The story I read is about how we thought the spinosaurus was a land dinosaur but it was actually a semi-aquatic dinosaur. Which means it’s actually a land and water dinosaur. We found this out by finding the spinosaurus tail which is in the shape of a fin so we know it used its tail in water for thrust. More info we had that the spinosaurus was a semi-aquatic dinosaur is that it has a high position of the nostrils, heavy bones, short legs, and paddle-like feet which would help it swim.
Facts⇩
The spinosaurus has a fin-like tail
The spinosaurus has more features that make it semi-aquatic
My opinion⇩
I think that this is a very good text telling you about how the spinosaurus is a semi-aquatic dinosaur.
did you learn anything?
